What this Privacy Policy Covers

• This Privacy Policy covers the BSSR's treatment of personally identifiable information that BSSR collects when you are on the BSSR site, and when you use the BSSR's services.
• This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that BSSR does not own or control, or to people that BSSR does not employ or manage.

• The BSSR collects personally identifiable information when you register with the BSSR, when you use certain BSSR services, when you visit BSSR pages, and when you enter promotions or quizzes. 
• When you register with BSSR, we ask for your name, email address, job title, place of work and country of residence. The BSSR also requests a contact address from course organisers and advertisers. Once you register with BSSR you are not anonymous to us.
• The BSSR also automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address and the page you requested.
• The BSSR uses this information to try and improve the content of the BSSR website, to contact you about significant website developments and to inform you when details of the BSSR refresher course are available.

• BSSR will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone.
• BSSR will send personally identifiable information about you to other companies or people when:
  • We have your consent to share the information;
  • We need to share your information to provide the product or service you have requested;
  • We need to send the information to companies who work on behalf of BSSR to provide a product or service to you; (Unless we tell you differently, these companies do not have any right to use the personally identifiable information we provide to them beyond what is necessary to assist us.);
  • We find that your actions on our web site contravene UK legislation

• The BSSR may set and access BSSR cookies on your computer when using the discussion boards. These record your personal preferences and are not utilised for any other means.

• The BSSR gives you the ability to edit your registration information by resubmitting the registration form or contacting the webmaster directly.
• You may request deletion of your BSSR registration by sending an email to the website administrator (webmaster@bssr.org.uk)

• Your BSSR registration information is password-protected for your privacy and security.
• In certain areas the BSSR uses industry-standard SSL-encryption to protect data transmissions.

• The BSSR may amend this policy from time to time. If we make any substantial changes in the way we use your personal information we will notify you by posting a prominent announcement on our pages.
